  Description of Printer Problem

i) Front Paper Jam -if the paper is jamming at the front of the paper tray, the paper is not getting to the registration assembly; it also jams more often when using heavy stock paper, envelopes, or when the paper tray is full; sometimes when it jams a faint black smudge appears at the top middle of the page
-the paper pick assembly is worn and must be replaced
ii) Paper Feed is skewed -the paper in the paper tray is skewed or twisted when it goes into the printer; but when paper is fed through the manual feed slot, it prints fine
-the corner tab on the paper tray is bent down; this is caused by pressing down on the paper when loading the tray
-use your fingers to bend the tab back to a horizontal position
iii) Accordion Jam -the paper jams as it comes out of the top of the paper output tray; if you switch the output to the front, the paper comes out fine
-when the paper jams, it is scrunched up like a fan or an accordion; sometimes, the bottom of the paper is stuck in the printer or it has a big curl
-the paper delivery roller must be replaced
iv) Accordion Jam (Inner) -the paper goes inside the printer, then it is scrunched up and the front end stops near the toner cartridge
-the drum drive assembly is worn and must be replaced
v) Multi-purpose Tray Jam -the paper does not get inside the printer and jams in the multi-purpose tray
-the paper pick-up assembly is worn and must be replaced
